Form II (Makashi) Training Information
Form II, also known as Makashi, the Way of the Ysalamiri, or the Contention Form, is the epitome of precision and finesse in lightsaber combat. It is designed specifically for lightsaber dueling, emphasizing elegant, calculated movements and economy of motion. Makashi focuses on footwork, balance, and blade control to outmaneuver and disarm opponents with minimal effort. Practitioners excel in one-on-one engagements, leveraging their poise and strategic precision to dominate the flow of combat. This form is famously practiced by individuals such as Count Dooku, Asajj Ventress, and Ki-Adi-Mundi, all of whom embody its discipline and grace.
