Ranks and Requirements

Youngling

• Requirements: Granted automatically by attending your Second class.

Novice

To attain this rank, you must:

• Attend 8 classes as a Youngling.
• Own Your Own Lightsaber, to be used in this Test.
• Demonstrate knowledge of 1 part of a lightsaber, and what it does.
• Complete 2 rounds of Classic Porgy-In-The-Middle (5 strikes) against all available students. Speed 1/2 for Extra Credit.
• 1 minute of Flowbat with a Padawan or higher. Speed 1/2 for Extra Credit.
• 30 seconds of Obi-Ani drill.
• Repetition of the Creed(for extra credit only).
• You may retake the Test once a week if you do not pass.

Padawan/Apprentice

To attain this rank, you must:

• Attend 16 classes as a Novice. You may request specific training for the Test at 12 Classes.
• Demonstrate knowledge of 3 parts of a lightsaber, and what they do. 
• Demonstrate 8 Basics, of these, 4 must be Advanced. Tester will call these out.  Speed 2/3 for Extra Credit. Attack and Defense, Partnered for Extra Credit. Maximum 3 allowable mistakes.
• Demonstrate the Form 1 Ten Step, Partnered, Attack and Defense, Speed 2/3 for Extra Credit.
• 1.5 minutes of Flowbat with a Padawan, Speed 2/3 for extra credit. You will be judged on Control, Readibility, Speed, and overall performance.
• 30 seconds of Obi-Ani.
• Choose and commit to a lightsaber form for the duration of this rank. You will automatically gain Student Tier in your chosen form, as well as Student Tier in Form 1. You may change your Form once within your first 4 classes at this rank without penalty; after that, changing forms resets your time as a Padawan/Apprentice.
• Repetition of the Creed (for extra credit only).
• You may retake the Test once a fortnight if you do not pass.

Acolyte/Knight

To attain this rank, you must:

• Attend 20 classes as a Padawan/Apprentice.
• If you have constructed your own lightsaber, and use it in this Test, you will receive Extra Credit.
• Attain Exemplar Rank in your chosen Padawan/Apprentice Lightsaber Form.
• Demonstrate knowledge of 5 parts of a lightsaber.
• Demonstrate 6 Basics, and 6 Advanced Basics (Extra Credit for use of Form Basics). Tester will call these out. Attack and Defense, Speed 2/3 for extra credit. Partnered for Extra Credit. Maximum of 3 allowable mistakes.
• Demonstrate Chosen Form's Ten Step, Attack and Defense. Speed 2/3 for Extra Credit. Partnered For Extra Credit.
• 1 Minute Flowbat against the highest Ranked individual available. Speed 2/3 for Extra Credit. Allow a break of 1 minute.
• 1 Minute Change Off 2-v-1 Flowbat, Speed 2/3 for Extra Credit. 
• 45 second Advanced Flowbat Trial, Speed 2/3 for Extra Credit, with a maximum of 3 allowable mistakes.
• 30 seconds of Obi-Ani.
• Repetition of the Creed (for extra credit only).
• You may retake the Test once a Month if you do not pass.

Lady/Lord/Master/Mistress/Regeant

To attain this rank, you must:

• Attend 32 classes as an Acolyte/Knight.
• Have built your own lightsaber, to be used in this test.
• Reach Paragon Rank in at least 1 Lightsaber Form.
• Reach Exemplar Rank in at least 1 other Lightsaber Form.
• Demonstrate 8 Basics and 8 Advanced Basics. Extra credit for Form Basics. Tester will NOT call these out, they must be known. Speed 1, this is to demonstrate profiency. 1 Allowable Mistake. Partnered for Extra Credit.
• Train an Apprentice or Padawan to the level of Acolyte/Knight under your mentorship. They must be your Apprentice or Padawan for at least 10 classes, and Pass the Test, for this Requirement to be fulfilled. 
• Lead 5 classes from start to finish. These do not need to be consecutive.
• Contribute to the class experience by introducing a game, exercise, or other activity that enhances both fun and learning.
• Demonstrate commitment to growing the Order both in numbers and in quality, through active participation both in and outside of class.
• Make a significant contribution to the Order, recognized as meaningful to its development (examples will be provided as they are established).
• Be a member in good standing within the Order.
• Deliver a 1-minute explanation, while Flow-Batting the Highest Rank Available on why you believe you should attain this rank, Speed 2/3 for extra credit.
• Pass a 2/3 majority vote of all Founders and those of this Rank in attendence, minimum 6. This can be revoked if a Majority of the same amount (if 6 votes were taken, 6 votes must again be taken, but they could be different people) decide to. 
• 30 seconds of Obi-Ani.
• Repetition of the Creed (required for this rank).
• You may retake the Test once every other Month if you do not pass.
