Lightsaber Advancement Tiers and Tests

1 - Beginner

To attain this Tier, you must:

• Speak to a Paragon of this form, or a Founder if none are available, expressing interest in the form, and demonstrating an understanding of its requirements and what you hope to gain.
• Special: This rank may be skipped if the individual can pass the Student Rank test on the first try. This is the only rank that can be skipped based on personal skill, with only one attempt allowed.

2 - Student

To attain this Tier, you must:

• Hold Beginner Tier for 5 classes(or skip as previously detailed.)
• Display and name 1 Stance, Extra/EC.
• Display and name 1 Stance Technique from the Stance(s) used above, min 1. If Extra Stances were used above, their strikes must be used here to count for their extra credit. Extra/EC.
• Display and name 1 Form Technique. Extra/EC
• Perform 2 Form Basics, Partnered, Attack and Defense, with up to 3 allowable mistakes. Speed 1/2 for Extra Credit.
• Perform this Form's 10-Step, Attack only. Speed 1/2 for Extra Credit. Partnered for Extra Credit.
• This test may be retaken once a fortnight.

3 - Adept

To attain this Tier, you must:

• Hold Student Tier for 10 classes
• Display and name 2 Stances, Extra/EC.
• Display and name 1 Stance Technique from the Stance(s) used above, min 1. If Extra Stances were used above, their strikes must be used here to count for their extra credit. Extra/EC.
• Display and name 3 Form Techniques. Extra/EC
• Perform 3 Form Basics, Partnered, Attack and Defense, with up to 3 allowable mistakes. Speed 1/2 for Extra Credit.
• Perform this Form's 10-Step, Attack And Defense. Speed 1/2 for Extra Credit. Partnered for Extra Credit.
• This test may be retaken once a fortnight.

4 - Exemplar

To attain this Tier, you must:

• Hold Adept Tier for 10 classes.
• Display and name at least 3 Stances (or two if less are available; additional stances for extra credit).
• Display and name 1 Stance Technique from the Stance(s) used above, min 3. If Extra Stances were used above, their strikes must be used here to count for their extra credit(if available). Extra/EC.
• Display and name 4 Form Techniques, Extra/EC
• Display and name 4 Form Basics, Attack and Defense. Partner/EC. Speed 2/3 EC Extra/EC
• Perform the 10-Step, Attack and Defense. Partner/EC. Speed 2/3 EC
• Engage in 1.5 minutes of Flowbat with a Padawan or higher, incorporating and using this Form.  Speed 2/3 for Extra Credit. You will be judged on Control, Speed, Readibility, and how clearly you demonstrate your Form.
• This test may be retaken once a month.

5 - Paragon

To attain this Tier, you must:

• Hold Exemplar Tier for 15 classes.
• Train a Student to Exemplar level under your mentorship; minimum 10 lessons, only achievable at Exemplar Rank.
• Display and name all Stances in this form.
• Display and name 1 Stance Technique from the Stance(s) used above.
• Display and name 5 Form Techniques. If less are available, do all of them.  
• Perform 8 Form Basics (If less are available, do all of them), Partnered, with up to 3 allowable mistakes. Attack and Defense, Speed 1.5/2 for Extra credit.
• Perform the 10-Step (Solo and Partnered) with up to 3 allowable mistakes. Attack and Defense. Speed 2/3 for extra credit.
• Present a 1 minute solo demonstration displaying mastery of this form. Speed is up to the Exemplar being tested and is allowed to variate. It's a Demonstration, get creative!
• Engage in 1 minute of Flowbat showing mastery of this form, with the highest Tiered-In-This-Form member available. Speeds 2-3 for extra credit. You will be judged on Control, Speed, Readibility, and how clearly you demonstrate your Form. Allow a 1 minute break.
• Engage in 1 minute of 2v1 Flowbat showing mastery of this form(2v1 team-up with different highest Ranked members present) Speed 2/3 for extra credit. You will be judged on Control, Speed, Readibility, and how clearly you demonstrate your Form. Allow a 1 minute break.
• Engage in 30 Seconds of Adv. Flowbat showing mastery of this form. 3 re-sets allowed on the Testers Part.  Partner mistakes reset the match but do not count otherwise.
• Choose from the following: Stance, Stance Technique, Form Technique, or Form Basic.  Create 1 for this Form, must be approved by a Majority of Founders and Paragons of this Form. Extra/EC, but each must be seperately approved.
• Give a 1 minute presentation on why you deserve this Tier, and how it benefits not only you, but the Order as a whole.
• This test may be retaken once every 2 months.
